Stories and updates from life inside One Clinton Park.
The September 28 Cobu snapshot records 21 RSVPs for the End of Summer Grill Off on September 25 at One Clinton Park. The listing advertised food and drinks from Posto 22 in the 3rd Floor Lounge. RSVPs show interest, not confirmed attendance. September conversations also included a restarted book club, marketplace posts, and neighbors sharing recommendations.
September balanced organized events with everyday neighbor exchanges. Event listings invited neighbors to gather, while Cobu provided a place to discuss plans. A lot of the month centered on two themes: residents moving in and out, which fueled a steady stream of marketplace listings, and residents trying to build something lasting, like the newly revived Book Club.
New neighbors introduced themselves too. One wrote to thank the kind person who turned in their eyeglasses at the front desk, calling it a wonderful welcome to the building. Small moments like that showed up throughout the month.
The Labor Day Celebration was listed for September 7, with a DJ, light bites, and a red, white, and blue specialty drink.
The feed also listed Moving Forward for September 19. Its description identified the venue as the 9th Floor Lounge at Two Clinton Park, with networking and conversation for entrepreneurs, creatives, and professionals.
The End of Summer Grill Off listing advertised a BBQ spread from Posto 22 and a summer playlist in the 3rd Floor Lounge on September 25. It recorded 21 RSVPs in the September 28 snapshot. The One Clinton Park listing identified the 3rd Floor Lounge as its meeting place. You can explore the property’s shared spaces on our amenities page.
September Marketplace posts covered furniture, electronics, and household items. Residents listed nightstands, bar stools sized for a kitchen island, a file cart with USB and outlets for $20, and that lightly used DJ controller. Plenty of items were offered free, including a Trader Joe's tea, an above-toilet shelf, and potted plants that proved popular enough that the resident offered to pot up more to share.
Moving season drove a lot of this. Several residents posted final sale lists before move-out dates, passing along coffee makers, lamps, and toasters to neighbors instead of tossing them.
Neighbors also used the platform to ask for dog-walker recommendations and share everyday help.
The Book Club relaunched during September. It started with a simple question asking whether anyone wanted to form one, and within days residents were comparing availability and agreeing to meet on the 3rd floor. By September 22 the group had officially relaunched with a schedule of every other Sunday at 11am and a first read, Part 1 of The Poppy War. The September 22 announcement gave interested neighbors a way to join.
The Professional Corner and Foodie Group also remain part of community life, giving residents spaces to share businesses and food plans. Groups like these pair naturally with the shared lounges, which you can picture alongside our floor plans.
The End of Summer Grill Off listing named Posto 22 as its food and beverage provider. Residents also traded notes about a nearby organic and veggie pizza spot, with one neighbor mentioning they regularly order its organic pizza and another asking about its hours. These exchanges help newcomers figure out where to eat without much trial and error.
September posts combined event plans, marketplace listings, local recommendations, and the Book Club relaunch. The eyeglasses thank-you was one completed example of a neighbor helping another resident.
